Centennial Coaches Awards

On Friday October 14th, the Garden City Centennial Soccer Club hosted their annual coach’s cocktail party.
During the event, Rick Harken, the club’s president, presented six coaches with the “18 Season Award”.  This award is given to individuals who coach a travel team from U10 through U18.   The award reads “through your unselfish time and commitment, you were able to develop a team that truly loved the game”.   The deserving recipients were Greg Abruzzo, Ken Colucci, Vinnie Fusco, Mike Lynch, Rob Malhame and Ed Rotondo.

In addition to receiving the “18 Season Award”, Rob Malhame was presented with the Tim Kevill Award.  Tim was one of the founding members of the Centennials.  Rob received the award for “years of voluntary service, support and dedication to the youth of our community”. No individual could be more worthy to receive this award then Rob.  Congratulations to all !

HISTORY
The Garden City Centennial Soccer Club was founded in 1969, the 100th anniversary of The Village of Garden City. The Club was organized to provide the youth of the community with a positive experience through playing the sport.
