Improves flank play and provides practice scoring off of balls crossed from the flank.
50x40 yard playing area with 2 regulation-size goals. Mark off a zone 5 yards wide, extending the length of the field, on each flank.
Teams play 3v3 or 4v4 in the central zone, plus keepers and 2 neutral wingers. Play begins with a kickoff from the center of the field. Neutral wingers play with the team in possession of the ball to form a numerical attacking advantage. All players must stay within their zone.
To encourage wing play, the attacking team must play the ball through one of the wingers before scoring. Otherwise, regular soccer rules apply.
